Start Your Assessment →What Is CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin?
CJC-1295 is a long-acting growth-hormone-releasing-hormone analog, and ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone secretagogue. Together they prompt the pituitary to release growth hormone.
Small human studies show the pathway can be moved. Whether that improves sleep, recovery or body composition for a given person is what a monitored course is designed to find out.
Good to Know
- Prescribed only after a clinician reviews your history.
- Dose and course are set by your clinician, not by you.
- Results vary, and we do not promise outcomes.
Who It Is For
Eligibility
Competitive Athletes
Growth-hormone-releasing peptides and secretagogues are on the WADA Prohibited List at all times. A prescription does not establish sporting eligibility, so we ask about anti-doping rules before presenting any option.
Often a Good Fit If
- ✓Adults with persistent sleep, recovery or body-composition concerns after the basics are addressed
- ✓Comfortable with limited long-term human safety data
- ✓Willing to complete baseline labs and repeat them
- ✓Open to a defined course with a clinician-reviewed endpoint
Not Prescribed If
- —Active or recent cancer, or a strong personal history of malignancy
- —Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or actively trying to conceive
- —Uncontrolled diabetes or significant glucose intolerance
- —A pituitary or hypothalamic disorder, unless directed by a specialist
- —Subject to anti-doping rules that prohibit it

Key Risks, Stated Plainly
Reported effects in the limited available data include injection-site reactions, flushing, headache, water retention and changes in glucose handling. Raising growth hormone and IGF-1 carries theoretical long-term questions that human data do not yet answer, so we monitor and keep courses bounded. These peptides sit on FDA's Category 2 review list, an interim compounding-policy flag that is not proof of harm.
Contact care the same day for
Significant swelling, new numbness or tingling in the hands, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, signs of allergic reaction, or any new or unexplained symptom during your course.
What Is Measured
Monitoring requirement: IGF-1 monitoring and cardiology-informed review of fluid retention and glucose.
IGF-1
Measured at baseline and again during the course to keep levels in a clinician-defined range.
Fasting Glucose and HbA1c
Growth hormone can affect glucose handling, so these are repeated.
Fluid Retention and Blood Pressure
Reviewed with a cardiology-informed approach at each check-in.
Sleep and Recovery
Your own reports and, if you connect one, wearable trends.
Body Composition
Tracked over weeks against your original goal.
Anti-Doping Check
Competitive athletes are screened against current sport rules first.
A Clearer Path Forward
How Clinicians Review Your Response
You and Your Clinician Look at the Same Data
Symptoms you report, laboratory results and, if you connect one, wearable trends are reviewed together before any change.
A Physician-Led Review Every 90 Days
Included in your monthly price. Your clinician decides whether to continue, adjust the dose, change course or stop.
Clinical Judgment Decides
If the measures are not moving toward your goal, or any safety signal appears, the plan changes. We do not renew by default.
What Is Included in the Monthly Price
- ✓Named, physician-led care team
- ✓Supplies and cold-chain shipping included
- ✓Baseline laboratory panel included in your first care cycle
- ✓Physician-led review every 90 days
- ✓Dose adjusted by your clinician with no change in price

Common Questions About CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin
Is This FDA-Approved?+
No. Neither peptide is FDA-approved for these uses, and compounded versions are not evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. Both appear on FDA's Category 2 safety-risk review list, which is an interim policy flag rather than a ban.
Why Are They Used Together?+
One acts like growth-hormone-releasing hormone and the other stimulates a separate receptor that also promotes growth hormone release. Pairing them is a common clinical approach, but combined outcome data in humans are limited.
What Will It Actually Do for Me?+
We cannot promise an outcome. Small studies show these compounds can raise growth hormone and IGF-1. Whether that translates into better sleep, recovery or body composition for you is what the monitored course is designed to find out.
How Long Does a Course Run?+
A defined course with a scheduled reassessment, not an open-ended subscription. Your clinician decides whether to stop, extend or change course based on your measures.
Can I Use It If I Compete in Sport?+
Probably not. Growth-hormone-releasing peptides are prohibited by WADA at all times, and a prescription does not change that. Tell us about your sport during intake.

The Mechanism
The Proposed Mechanism
GHRH Analog
CJC-1295 acts on the pituitary like growth-hormone-releasing hormone, with a longer-lasting effect than the natural hormone.
Ghrelin-Receptor Secretagogue
Ipamorelin stimulates a separate receptor that also drives pulses of growth hormone release.
Downstream IGF-1
Growth hormone raises IGF-1 from the liver, which is why IGF-1 is the main lab we monitor.

What We Can and Cannot Tell YouEvidence and regulatory status+
What the Evidence Supports
Small human studies show that the long-acting growth-hormone-releasing-hormone analog CJC-1295 raises growth hormone and IGF-1 in healthy adults, and ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone secretagogue.
What It Does Not (Yet)
No large randomized trials show that either compound improves sleep, recovery, body composition or long-term health outcomes, and long-term safety data are limited.

Illustrative Course StructureFinal dose set by your clinician+
Illustrative only, not a prescription. Your clinician sets the dose, timing and length.
| Phase | Approach | Duration | What we watch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baseline | Labs and clinician visit | Before starting | IGF-1, glucose, blood pressure |
| Initiation | Low dose, clinician-directed timing | First weeks | Tolerance, fluid retention |
| Course | Held at the tolerated dose | Defined by your clinician | Sleep, recovery, labs |
| Reassessment | Extend, stop or change course | At the scheduled review | Whether the goal was met |
Selected Studies
Teichman et al., Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 2006
CJC-1295 raised growth hormone and IGF-1 for days in healthy adults, showing the pathway responds. It did not test sleep, recovery or body-composition outcomes.
