CJC-1295
A long-acting growth-hormone-releasing-hormone analog. In a randomized trial in healthy adults it raised growth hormone and IGF-I for days. Whether that helps sleep, recovery or body composition has not been tested.

CJC-1295 requires a written prescription from a licensed clinician and is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved or evaluated for safety, effectiveness or quality. Evidence standards.
Start Your Assessment →What Is CJC-1295?
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), designed to last far longer than the natural hormone by binding to albumin in the blood after injection.
Its human data come from short trials in healthy adults that measured hormone levels and safety, not sleep, recovery or body composition. It is often combined with ipamorelin, and we have a page for that pair.
Good to Know
- Prescribed only after a clinician reviews your history.
- Dose and course are set by your clinician, not by you.
- Results vary, and we do not promise outcomes.
Who It Is For
Eligibility
Competitive Athletes
Growth-hormone-releasing peptides and secretagogues are on the WADA Prohibited List at all times. A prescription does not establish sporting eligibility, so we ask about anti-doping rules before presenting any option.
Often a Good Fit If
- ✓Adults with persistent sleep, recovery or body-composition concerns after the basics are addressed
- ✓Comfortable with limited long-term human safety data
- ✓Willing to complete baseline labs and repeat them
- ✓Open to a defined course with a clinician-reviewed endpoint
Not Prescribed If
- —Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or actively trying to conceive
- —Active or recent cancer diagnosis, or a history your clinician judges to carry risk
- —Expecting a guaranteed or fast outcome rather than a considered trial
- —Uncontrolled diabetes or significant glucose intolerance
- —A pituitary or hypothalamic disorder, unless directed by a specialist
- —Subject to anti-doping rules that prohibit it

Key Risks, Stated Plainly
In the randomized trials, no serious adverse reactions were reported. Those trials ran 28 and 49 days in healthy adults, so they say little about longer use or about people with health conditions. Because growth hormone and IGF-I affect fluid balance and glucose handling, we monitor both. CJC-1295 sits on FDA's Category 2 review list, an interim compounding-policy flag that is not proof of harm.

Significant swelling, new numbness or tingling in the hands, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, signs of allergic reaction, or any new or unexplained symptom during a course.
What Is Measured
IGF-1
Measured at baseline and during the course to keep levels in a clinician-defined range.
Fasting Glucose and HbA1c
Growth hormone can affect glucose handling, so these are repeated.
Fluid Retention and Blood Pressure
Reviewed at each check-in.
Sleep and Recovery
Your own reports and, if you connect one, wearable trends.
Anti-Doping Check
Competitive athletes are screened against current sport rules first.
A Clearer Path Forward
How Clinicians Review Your Response
You and Your Clinician Look at the Same Data
Symptoms you report, laboratory results and, if you connect one, wearable trends are reviewed together before any change.
A Physician-Led Review Every 90 Days
Included in your monthly price. Your clinician decides whether to continue, adjust the dose, change course or stop.
Clinical Judgment Decides
Measurements inform the decision. They do not make it, and no dashboard changes your dose on its own.

Share your goals, history and any sport or work rules in about ten minutes. No card required.
02
Video Visit
Your clinician reviews your history and medications, explains the evidence plainly, and decides whether this fits you.

Reassessment
A scheduled review decides whether to stop, extend or change course. Courses are not renewed by default.
Common Questions About CJC-1295
What Did the Human Trials Show?+
In two randomized, placebo-controlled trials in healthy adults, a single injection raised mean growth hormone 2- to 10-fold for six days or more and IGF-I 1.5- to 3-fold for 9 to 11 days. The estimated half-life was 5.8 to 8.1 days. No serious adverse reactions were reported.
Does That Mean It Improves Sleep or Body Composition?+
No. Those were not the outcomes measured. Raising hormone levels is not the same as a proven benefit, which is why we monitor and set an endpoint.
Is CJC-1295 FDA-Approved?+
No. It is not an FDA-approved drug, and compounded CJC-1295 is not evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality.
Can I Use It If I Compete in Sport?+
Probably not. Growth-hormone-releasing peptides are prohibited by WADA at all times, and a prescription does not change that.
Is It Available Through SOVRYN?+
CJC-1295 is prescribed only after a clinician reviews your history and decides it fits. Start with the assessment and your clinician will tell you what is and is not appropriate.

Published Research
What the Published Science Shows
2–10×
Rise in mean growth hormone for six days or more after a single injection in healthy adults.
1.5–3×
Rise in mean IGF-I for 9 to 11 days after a single injection.
5.8–8.1 d
Estimated half-life of CJC-1295 in the trial.
Figures come from the cited trials and reviews. They describe published research, not a forecast for any one person, and not a study of compounded formulations.
The Mechanism
How It Is Proposed to Work
GHRH Analog
It acts on the pituitary like growth-hormone-releasing hormone, prompting growth hormone release.
Albumin Binding
It binds albumin after injection, which extends its half-life to days.
Pulses Persist
In one study, natural pulsatile growth hormone secretion continued during continuous stimulation.

What the Evidence Supports
Randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind trials showing sustained, dose-dependent increases in growth hormone and IGF-I, and no serious adverse reactions over 28 to 49 days.
What It Does Not (Yet)
No published trial we found measures sleep, recovery or body-composition outcomes, and long-term safety data are limited. It is on the WADA Prohibited List.
Badge definitions and FDA category sourcing are on the Science page.

Illustrative only and not a prescription. Dose, timing and length are set by your clinician and the compounding pharmacy.
